Kwanzaa is a pan-African holiday which celebrates family, community and culture created by Dr. Maulana Karenga in 1966 and celebrated from December 26--January 1.
We think Kwanzaa should be celebrated in connection with Christmas as a way to promote self love and understanding in our community. Especially for children, Kwanzaa is a fun and inspirational way to keep oneself connected to what it means to be Bantu. We hope you’ll share this tradition with the people in your life.
